MG5200 Series Static Pressure Level Transmitter calculates the liquid level height by measuring the static pressure generated by the liquid level height.

The formula for static pressure of liquid is P=P+ρgh, where P is the atmospheric pressure at the upper part of the liquid surface, ρ is the  density of the measured liquid, h is the height of the liquid, and g is the gravitational acceleration (constant). When P remains constant, the pressure is taken as two variables: density and liquid level height. When the density of a liquid is constant, the liquid level is proportional to the pressure. The static pressure acts on the pressure sensing diaphragm of the sensor, and through the piezoresistive effect of the sensor, the liquid level static pressure is converted into a voltage signal, which is then converted into a 4-20mA analog signal and a HART protocol digital signal by an intelligent module. Actual liquid level height=height between sensor and tank bottom+measured liquid level height.

The MG5200 Series  Intelligent Static Pressure Level Transmitter adopts a breathable core cable design, which introduces the external atmospheric pressure into the negative pressure side of the sensor, eliminating measurement errors caused by atmospheric pressure changes.
