
In traditional liquid level measurement, the side mounted single flange MG5600L is usually used. However, in many applications, there is additional static pressure above the liquid. Due to static pressure not being a part of liquid level measurement, it is necessary to use pressure pipe and capillary sealing to counteract its presence. Therefore, we usually use MG5600 differential pressure transmitter in conjunction with MG1100 diaphragm system to measure liquid level.
Although the double flange differential pressure liquid level system is a mature and reliable technology, it has always been difficult to be applied in high-end vessels and towers. Because these require longer capillaries for easy installation, excessively long capillaries cause significant delays in pressure transmission, and errors become more pronounced with changes in ambient temperature.
Mega-tek has proposed a new solution to address the aforementioned issues - the MG5600ERS electronic remote transmitter. Compared to traditional dual flange transmitters, MG5600ERS has the following characteristics:
(1) Solved the difficult working conditions of liquid level measurement on high vessels and towers, especially for capillary tubes exceeding 10 meters;
(2) Two pressure transmitters measure the pressure values on the high and low pressure sides respectively, and calculate the differential pressure through the main meter. Digital signals are transmitted through cables instead of capillaries, reducing response time by more than 90% and reducing temperature drift by more than 75%;
(3) The unique digital architecture of the MG5600ERS electronic remote transmission system provides many benefits for instruments when used on tall containers and towers

When using traditional double flanges in cold weather, especially when using high-temperature silicone oil, the device usually requires heat tracing or insulation measures. The digital architecture of the MG5600ERS system eliminates these practices, making the device cleaner through less maintenance and upkeep.
